2.79" 142x428 IPS Display with Breakout Board for STM32, ESP32 and Arduino

Description

ER-TFTM2.79-2 is a 2.79-inch ultra-narrow IPS TFT LCD display​ with a vertical bar format of 142×428 pixels​ (21.28×66.14 mm active area, 22.28×65.14 mm visual area), pre-mounted on a breakout board​ with an 8-pin header (GND, VCC, SCL, SDA, RESSET, D/C, CS, BLK) for direct breadboard or dupont-wire connection. The IPS cell provides a full 80°/80°/80°/80°​ viewing cone, 65K/262K​ color depth, a 1200:1​ typical contrast ratio, and 400 cd/m²​ brightness, making it a strong fit for tall, thin status strips, side gauges, and HMI where a square screen cannot fit.

ER-TFTM2.79-2 integrates the NV3007​ controller in COG packaging and communicates over a 4-wire serial SPI​ interface (SCL, SDA, D/C, CS, RESSET). Logic runs at 3.0–3.5 V (typ. 3.3 V)​ with a maximum module current of 115 mA​ inclusive of backlight, which is switched via the BLK pin (High = on, Low = off). The 0.149×0.154 mm dot pitch and 30 ms typical response time handle menus, vertical bars, waveforms, and scrolling text cleanly. No touch panel is mounted and the module is not sunlight-readable, keeping it a 71.43×36.58 mm (FPC folded) pure output display.

We provide NV3007 demo code, SPI wiring diagrams, and graphics-library examples for Arduino (Uno, Nano, Mega, Due), STM32, ESP32, ESP8266, and Raspberry Pi Pico​, so you can render a working GUI without writing a low-level driver. The 8-pin 3.3 V header maps straight to any 3.3 V MCU with no FPC adapter or level shifter needed.

Rated for −20~+70 ℃​ operating and −30~+80 ℃​ storage, ER-TFTM2.79-2 targets indoor industrial cabinets, desktop instruments, and enclosed electronics. It is not intended for direct-sunlight outdoor use. As with all TFT panels, avoid displaying a fixed image for more than 2 hours continuously to prevent temporary image sticking (reversible by powering the screen with an all-black pattern for several hours).

That is suitable for a wide range of applications, including industrial control side panels, audio level meters, medical aux readouts, smart-home wall controllers, portable test instruments, and any MCU project needing a taller, thinner color status display than a 142×428 bar panel can provide, on a ready-to-use breakout board.
